Non-Profit/Safety Science
Our client UL, a global safety certification company, needed to introduce their brand to a new generation. They invited us to create a video targeting tweens. The brief mandated that we explain safety science in the context of wind energy. We had to show a brief overview of the history and science of wind energy, and show an example of empowered youth. They also asked that we include a project that kids could do in class.
As a part of our research, we consulted with elementary and middle-school teachers to help us with the tone of our script. We discovered a real-life case study of young people who had helped their community through wind energy that we brought to life with animation. Our video was shown in schools across the country and released on Disney's "Bill Nye the Science Guy" renewable energy DVD series. For the student project, we created a small wind-powered boat that we filmed on the pond at the UL headquarters.
